Every Last Pixel is the web and visual design studio of Pete Murray.

Based in Dumfries and Galloway, I work with small businesses, heritage organisations, and product-led brands to design how they present themselves online—combining websites, branding, and visual content into cohesive digital systems.

My focus is on creating work that feels clear, consistent, and easy to manage—designed to support real-world businesses, not complicate them.

With over 16 years of experience in web design and digital projects, I bring a practical, considered approach to every project, balancing creative direction with technical clarity.

What I Do

I design and build complete digital systems that help businesses present themselves clearly and consistently online. Instead of offering separate services, I combine web design, branding, and visual content into three core areas of work:

  • Websites- fast, considered websites that are easy to manage and built around how your customers actually use them.
  • Visual & Brand Systems - Brand identity, layout structure, and photography direction that create consistency across your online presence.
  • Content for Web & Marketing - Photography and visual assets designed specifically for websites, product pages, and promotional use.

About Me

Every Last Pixel is run by Pete Murray, an independent designer and web developer based in South West Scotland.

For over 16 years, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients—from national arts and heritage organisations to e-commerce brands, local businesses, and everything in between. Alongside this, I’ve also freelanced for design agencies, delivering specialist web and digital work for their clients.

I also spent five years teaching web design on the BA Graphic Design degree course at the University of Salford, which continues to shape how I think about clarity, structure, and communication in design.

My approach is simple: speak plainly, listen carefully, and build work that actually helps people do what they need to do. I understand the technical side deeply, but I don’t overcomplicate things—and I don’t believe in locking clients into systems they don’t control.

Many of my clients have worked with me for years, which I think comes down to keeping things honest, practical, and focused on outcomes rather than noise.

Collaboration

On larger or more specialised projects, I work with a small network of trusted designers and developers to support delivery where needed.

This allows me to keep projects focused and flexible while ensuring the right expertise is applied at the right stage of the process.

I like working with Pete for two very important reasons, he’s great at what he does, and if he doesn’t know how to do something, he’ll find out. Makes the dark arts of digital development simpler.
